Clinical Services
The Keys of Carolina employees a holistic approach to all the clients that it serves. The approach begins with an in-depth, comprehensive, strength-based assessment that will incorporate individual, group, and family therapy designed to produce cognitive restructuring, impulse control, and social skills training. The highly structured milieu and our well-trained staff provide 24-hour round-the-clock supervision and guidance necessary for effective treatment. Clients are encouraged to assume responsibility and accountability for their behaviors, replace maladaptive thinking and cognitive distortions, and develop respect for the rights and needs of others. The program encourages positive change by assisting the clients with the development of pro-social behavior and adaptive living skills in a structured residential setting with the goal of increasing each client's coping skills, enhance the positive aspects of their self-concept, and equip them with the skills necessary to live an autonomous life within their community.
